Soho Rep Shines Like the Globe Theater

The Ugly One - Soho Rep

You simply can’t find anything more entertaining for the money than the Soho Rep.  The Soho Rep, located at 46 Walker Street, offers $.99 Sundays for its current performances! How fun is that? It’s a throwback of sorts to the Globe Theater. You, too, can be one of the common folks paying for entry at the lowest possible price and standing next to the stage.

Only here, you don’t have to stand. The theater is actually arranged in a strikingly unusual way with five steep rows on each side of the narrow stage.  It’s a dramatic, intimate setting. At the moment, they are showing The Ugly One on February 19th and 26th for only $.99, and it’s even a show worth seeing.

Challenging viewers to consider what really makes someone ugly or beautiful, and what it means to be unique, the performance directed by Daniel Aukin is beautifully orchestrated.  For a bit of culture and some intimate viewing – and an awesome price – Soho Rep is the address!
