New York is home to many famous window displays. Stores on Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue join the holiday fun with their elaborately decorated holiday windows.
This year is no exception. Tiffany’s, Bergdorf Goodman, Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s—these flagship stores feature displays that are festive, imaginative and fun. This year, the themes of many window displays focus on charity and giving.
New York is not the only big city to use store windows as a showpiece of holiday fun. In nearby Chicago, Marshall Field’s (now Macy’s) has a holiday window display that will be exhibited from November 1st to January 5th. Each window is beautifully decorated and tells a story as visitors walk from one window to the next.
This holiday window display started over a century ago in 1897, making it a Chicago tradition.
If you’re only visiting Chicago, consider starting a new tradition by staying at the Crowne Plaza Rosemont. The Crown Plaza Rosemont is centrally located so you can easily visit family and friends.
Deluxe amenities and holiday-themed activities will help you enjoy this winter season.
