Wow, while Gucci might have an ulterior motive in creating the Gucci Wooster Bookstore at 375 West Broadway, we aren’t sure that we care. Can you imagine if all of the hottest clothing stores, electronic stores and other locations started to highlight books? And had an inviting nook where you could shed your coat (hopefully your phone too) and curl up with a real book?

The Gucci Wooster Bookstore has just opened, curated by Dashwood Books, and it’s certainly a place to see. It’s inside the Wooster store and it’s a cozy, intimate reading nook where you’re actually supposed to curl up and…read!  They plan to have book signings and cultural events too. They actually brought in Dashwood Books founder, David Strettell, to curate the 2000 titles.

Don’t know about you – but we plan to be spending a lot of time in this haven for book lovers in the coming months!
